While there are other churches and church movements called "The Potters House", we are not connected to any of them. We chose the name of the church, "Potters Church" from a text in the Bible:
Isa 64:8 "But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.
The church started in a home in 2001 and has grown and strengthened over the years.
The church is made up of people of different nationalities and all ages - children, teenagers, young adults, couples, families, grandparents and great grandparents! We come from all kinds of backgrounds and church traditions and we all have a story to tell about what our lives used to be like and what they are like now. We all have a past that was not great but we have found hope in Jesus and His power to change and rebuild broken and lost lives.
Jesus leads each church. He is our leader. Yes He raises up and uses human leaders, but it is His leadership we pursue and follow.
Our music is an important part of our church life and a strong focus in the church. A lot of our young people are involved in our music and we use a wide range of instruments - drums, percussion, guitars and keyboards. Our music style is lively and modern.
Assemblies of God
We are a part of the The Assemblies of God movement, which is the world's largest Pentecostal denomination, with churches in over 200 nations and approximately 56.9 million members. We also have relationships with other Christian ministries and churches who we partner with.
